Russell A. Johnson

Russ’ practice has been primarily trial litigation in both State and Federal Courts. He has extensive criminal litigation experience including death penalty litigation, murder cases, drug and forfeiture litigation, and DUI’s to name a few. Russ has been involved in numerous high- profile homicide and death penalty cases in Indiana. He has not only litigated these cases but has taught extensively in these areas and has been qualified in several State Courts as an expert concerning criminal matters (ineffective assistance of counsel of other attorneys concerning death penalty litigation).

For almost 40 years Russ has been recognized across the state for his outstanding work involving criminal litigation. Russ also maintains a wealth of civil litigation experience including personal injury and civil litigation, including but not limited to auto accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, wrongful death, fire and explosion litigation.

Russ Graduated from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1981 and has received a number of honors, achievements, and professional associations throughout Russ’ career. These include but are not limited to:

Lynnette Gray

Lynn Gray is a founding partner in the law firm of Johnson Gray & Johnson, trial counsel practicing in Franklin, Indiana. She and her partner, Russell Johnson, established the firm in 1993. The bulk of her practice is made up of civil litigation, mediation, real estate litigation and representing governmental entities on a local level, including the City of Franklin, Johnson County and Center Grove School Corporation. Professionally, she has been lead or co-counsel in complex litigation including wrongful death and products liability claims. She served as Court-appointed receiver in a multi-million-dollar receivership case and has mediated a vast array of civil matters.

Lynn received her undergraduate degree from Ball State University in 1984. She obtained her law degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis and was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1987. From 1987 to 1992, she was an associate at Jones, Loveall and Johnson before becoming a partner at the firm. Lynn is also admitted to practice before U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and the United States Supreme Court. Lynn is a member of the National Order of Barristers, 1985-87; Board of Directors of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association; member of the Indianapolis Bar Association; and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

  • She was selected for membership in the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum.
  • Lynn has lectured at numerous seminars, including the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Law Update, ICLEF Mediation Training, Trial Lawyers Advanced Mediation Training, and is on the faculty for the Indiana Trial Advocacy College.
  • She also serves or has served on the Board of Directors of Johnson County United Way, Leadership Johnson County, Johnson County Community Organized in Disasters, Girls, Inc., and Johnson Memorial Hospital Foundation Board.
  • She was selected Johnson County Women of the Year for her volunteer activities. She is also on the Board of Directors of Mutual Savings Bank and Third Century Bancorp of Franklin, Indiana.

Kyle Johnson

Kyle Johnson is an associate at the law firm of Johnson Gray & Johnson located in downtown Franklin, Johnson County. Kyle represents a majority of his clients in criminal matters in both the State and Federal Courts. He also represents clients in civil, family law, personal injury, and juvenile matters. Kyle strives to not only work on specific strategies for your case, but also focuses on you as an individual. Kyle is very well versed in dealing with all types of criminal law cases. He handles the vast majority of the specialized driving privilege cases and expungement cases for the firm. Kyle would be happy to help you get back driving legally or to help you publicly seal your past criminal arrests/convictions.

Kyle grew up in Greenwood Indiana and attended Center Grove High School located here in Johnson County. Kyle received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University at Bloomington and his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.

Kyle was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2012. He has received several achievements, and been a part of a number of professional associations throughout career which included but are not limited to:
